If you plan on attending any music festival this Summer, make sure you pick up a copy of this month's Spin magazine. It has a hilarious list of do's and don'ts when attending a music festival.
e.g. Do not associate with any Jesus or disciple looking characters unless you run out of weed.
e.g. Music festivals are always the best place to stock up on band merch, especially because everything is usually 4x more expensive than in regular stores. Nothing beats buying expensive crap you don't need, and having to carry it around without a place to put it. Unless you don't understand the power of sarcasm or irony.

A subtle statement...
Sunday, April 22, 2007
So I had the greatest idea to post something cute for Earth Day, which is today. I remember my sister had a t-shirt of the Ziggy cartoon character, and he was sitting on his couch surrounded by animals. The caption read: "Save the Earth, some of my best friends live here."
Well, that idea seemed good, until I spend half an hour searching for that picture. (This was AFTER I was told which cartoom it was. I wasn't even sure it was called Ziggy in the beginning of the search.) The end of this story is that I was unsuccessful in my attempts to find this picture. If you know what I'm talking about, then we're on the same page here. If not, well...use your imagination.
Instead, here is something else:
Oh, and if you try searching "earth day comics" on google, you will NOT find something funny. Trust me.

United Colours of Benetton
European ads for United Colours of Benetton have been known for their extreme advertising tactics. The first picture showns the clothing of a gunshot victim. However, if you live in North America, their ads will look like the bottom picture.
I think its funny that a society that thrives upon sex and violence in the media still will not allow this sort of advertising.

"Is this blasphemous?"

Offensive Advertisment?
Does this help feed the homeless person you see on your way to work each day? Probably not. I think its safe to say that this isn't a "can't see the forest for the trees situation". I would rather see my change go to someones lunch rather than the huge agencies.
Is anyone else offended by this? Its not really saying "find other ways to help the homeless", it just tells people to spend their money elsewhere...
