The Goat Coat

“You know what goats like? They like grass. They like tin cans. They like going behind the shed and taking a shit in peace. They don’t like having leopard outfits strapped to their sagging haunches like Kim Cattrall.

If you absolutely have to put clothes on your goat, at least be humane enough to eat the fucking thing afterward so it doesn’t have to live with the memory. “

Nightlight- a parody

nightlight a parody

Taken from

t's the first time in 40 years that The Harvard Lampoon has released a parody novel and we think they've picked the perfect victim for their humor: Twilight!

Now, before you grab your pitchforks tween vampire lovers, give it a chance! The press release sent out by the publishers, Vintage Books, explains:

Nightlight stakes at the heart of what makes Twilight tick…or, really, cuts to the core of it…. Brooding and hilarious, let Nightlight be your guide through the Twilight fandom that has eclipsed the mind of every teenager you have ever met.”

The story follows a young high school student named Belle Goose who moves to Switchblade, Oregon, and meets Edwart Mullen, a “super-hot computer nerd with zero interest in girls.”

Are you laughing yet? Okay, we'll keep going:

Belle is all about vampires and convinces herself that Edwart is in fact a being of the undead. She comes to this conclusion after seeing him do things she considers "otherworldly"(”Edwart leaves his Tater Tots™ untouched at lunch! Edwart saves her from a flying snowball!”).

If your vampire-obsessed hearts can handle a little healthy dose of mockery, you should pick the book up on Nov. 3rd.

If not, continue on your path of crazed, angsty devotion, none-the-wiser oF this book.

Andy Warhol + Marilyn Monroe+ Nike = ???

How do we feel about this? Personally, I kinda like them…but then again, I’m all about tacky shit that would never appear in Vogue.

Dita Von Teese for Wonderbra

Now…I understand that some all photos get airbrushed, but this is ridiculous! There's airbrushing, then there's flat out putting someone's head on another body.

I think this was the shoe I designed in grade four art class…

For you, True Blood fans…

Sookei mug

As someone who is a caffeine fiend, I obviously love mugs. I’m a recent True Blood convert also, so this brings more of my loves together.
That, and its just plain funny.

“Hello Kitty Love Hotel”

Those appear to be straps on the bed. As in, to tie someone down with. I like Hello Kitty…but this is just plain creepy.

Kat Von D without her tattoos!

These pictures were taken from Kat Von D’s new tattoo concealer from Sephora. I’m sort of confused as to why someone who is famously covered in tattoos and is a tattoo artist would sell this.

…and now without the airbrushing.

American Apparel's newest...

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

I'm a pretty big Chuck Palahniuk fan, so naturally I was excited to hear about an Invisible Monsters movie in production. I saw some fan art of potential movie posters, and I have a feeling this one won't be making the theaters.

Elliott Smith Mural

For those of you who aren't familiar, this is painted on the wall of Solutions Audio in Los Angelas. Its also famous for being the backdrop for Elliott Smith's album, Figure 8. I'm having it painted on my wall at my new place.

Must blog...

Somehow I have a feeling this won't be added to my lit class...

Offensive, or just ridiculous?

Also, they have an "ex-homosexual" here to see the full line

Up yours, ticketbastard!

For those of you who have ever been ripped off by ticket master and their "convenience" fees. Who thinks its "convenient" to pay upwards of $10 on top of your tickets?

ticket bastard

In another related note,  ticketmaster was selling Kings of Leon tickets...and the date is during my exam period! I'm pissed! pissed as I can rationally be about a missed concert.

...and Sid Vicious rolls in his grave!

This is one of the pictures from a Country Butter ad. Yes, that's Johnny Rotton (i.e. John Lydon).

I wonder if he will list this commercial right under "front man for the Sex Pistols" on his resume?? with rape-tentacle strength!

California Bound

When my father was in college during the 70s, he took a road trip to California with one of his best friends. The two of them rode their motorcycles throughout the US and even slept on park benches along the way! Its pretty crazy to see John today, and to look at the life my father lived and imagine them ever sleeping on park benches.
Anyway, my mother received these photos from John today, on the day after the anniversary of my fathers death. I'm sure it brings back memories for her  of my father from his youth, and its also nice to see these picture for the first time.

My father is wearing the brown leather jacket and can be seen to the far right in the group shots.

Wish my feet were here...

Can anyone tell me where to get these? Or any of the Pink Floyd British Rock line shoes? I'd really, really like the "Wish you were here" chucks!

In the theme of today, here are some cool things I found to celebrate this historic day:

Obama cookies! How sweet are these! :)

I found this on the window of a closed restaurant in London, ON.

If you can't read the small print, it reads: "Special thanks to: Multinational corporations everywhere."

Closed due to urban sprawl
